한국, 스페인, 이탈리아 3개국에서 활동하고 있는 무용단과 아티스트들의 작품을 소개하는 프로그램이며, 컨템포러리 발레, 인형극, 서커스등 다양한 장르를 기반으로 활동하고 있는 토마스 눈, 데시그나레 무브먼트, 김채희, 아크무브, 김남진 피지컬 씨어터의 5작품을 대구 관객에게 선보인다.

김채희는 무용수이자 안무가로 활동을 넓혀가며, 몸의 감각을 토대로 움직임을 구성하고, 순간에 반응하는 몸에 집중한다.
질문과 끝없는 선택 속에서 의미가 확장되는 지점을 흥미롭게 바라보며, 작업은 언제나 정해진 해답보다는 때마다 감각이 만드는 선택을 주의 깊게 다룬다.
한국예술종합학교 무용원 실기과를 졸업하고, 아트프로젝트보라에서 활동하며 다양한 작업에 참여해왔다.

Reality is Horizon : 우리는 지평선에 살고 있다
사람과 사람 사이의 '바라봄' 그로부터 발생하는 비언어적 소통과 상호작용에서 시작됩니다.
우리는 서로를 바라보고 느끼며, 말이 아닌 몸짓과 에너지를 통해서 반응합니다.
그 과정 속에서 예상치 못한 순간들이 생겨나고 단순한 눈 맞춤은 감각의 교환으로 확장됩니다.
작품은 이 흐름을 레이저 빛으로 시각화하며, 시선의 존재를 드러냅니다.

Introduction
KIm Chaehee is a dancer and choreographer expanding her practice through movement grounded in physical perception and momentary response.
Her work begins with questions rather than conclusions, tracing how sensation leads to decision and how choices take form through movement.
She observes subtle shifts with focus, attentive to how each process unfolds rather than aiming to resolve it.
She graduated from the School of Dance at Korea National University of Arts and has taken part in a variety of stage works, including collaborations with Art Project Bora.

Reality is Horizon.The horizon is a line we cannot reach, yet always face—like the distance between two people looking at each other.
This work begins with the act of looking between individuals, and the nonverbal communication and interaction that emerge from it.
We look, sense, and respond—not through words, but through gestures and energy.
In this process, unexpected moments occur, and simple eye contact expands into an exchange of sensation.Laser light traces this flow, giving visible form to the presence of the gaze.

단체소개
댄서 및 안무가 석진환은 현재 한국과 이탈리아 에서 활동하는 아크무브의 대표이다.
2011년부터 2014년까지 대한민국 국립 현대무용단 단원이었으며 2014년 폴란드로 건너가 로즈바르크 시립극장에서 Uri Ivgi와 Johan Greben의 예술감독하에 단원으로 활동하였다
그리고 그는 2015년부터 2020년 까지 Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company에 단원으로 합류하여 예술감독 라미 비에르와 여러 작품을 함께 활동하였다.
그의 안무 중 하나인 '오다가다'는 제10회 코펜하겐 국제안무콩쿠르 2등상을 수상하
였고, 2018년에는 로테르담 국제듀엣콩쿠르에서 3등 상을 수상하였다.
그외 대한민국의 MODAFE 페스티벌등 여러 해외 페스티벌에 초대되어 공연하였다.
그는 현제 이탈리아에 거주하며 안무 작업을 계속 발전시켜 나고 그가 중요하게 생각하는 몸의 언어적 표현과 관객들과의 소통을 모티브로 예술활동을 이어오고 있다.
작품소개
“평화 속에 머물다" 작품은 대립,충돌,단절을 모티브로 시작한 작품이다.
사회에서의 상하관계 남여간의 충돌 사회구조 속의 단절등 그속에 자연스럽게 찾아 오는 문제속에서 내속의 평화에 대해 생각 해보는 작품이다.

Introduction
JINHWAN SEOK, from South Korea. Dancer, choreographer and director of
ARK MOVE. From 2011 to 2014, he was a member of the Korean National Dance Company, in Seoul. He moved to Poland in 2014 and took part in the Rozbark theater under the artistic direction of Uri Ivgi and Johan Greben.
He joined the Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company in 2015~2020 under
Artistic Director Rami Be'er. One of his choreographies “Oda-gada” won 2nd
prize at the 10th Copenhagen International Choreography Competition and
3rd prize at the Rotterdam International Duet Competition 2018.
Other than that He was invited to perform at several overseas festivals,
including the MODAFE Festival in Korea.
Currently living in Italy, he continues to develop his choreographic work and
continues his artistic activities based on the motifs of verbal expression of the body and communication with the audience, which he considers important.

“Stay In Your Peace” is a work that started with the motif of confrontation, conflict, and disconnection.
In the problems that arise naturally, such as hierarchical relationships in society, conflicts between men and women, and disconnection in the social
structure, This is a work that makes me think about peace within myself.

Thomas Noone Dance(TND)는 2001년 안무가 토마스 눈이 설립한 스페인 바르셀로나를 기반으로 활동하고 있는 현대무용단입니다. 역동적이고 신체적인 움직임을 토대로 감정 표현에 형태를 부여하는 작품을 제작합니다.

Introduction
Thomas Noone Dance (TND) is a contemporary dance company based in Barcelona, founded in 2001 by choreographer Thomas Noone. Known for its dynamic and physical approach to dance, the company creates works that give form to movement, expression, and emotion.
TND’s performances are marked by a deep connection to the body, with an emphasis on physicality, dynamism, and poetic expression.
The company produces a wide range of performances, from theatre shows to outdoor events and site-specific works, often incorporating multiple art forms. Their work includes productions for diverse audiences, ranging from children to adults, and oDen explores themes of human connection, inclusivity, and the power of movement.

김남진 피지컬 씨어터Kim Nam-jin Physical Theater / KOREA

김남진피지컬씨어터는 2015년 부산에서 설립된 단체로 한국의 현대무용이 이제까지 이어오던 추상적인 이미지를 벗어나 좀 더 사실적이며 대중적인 주제를 다루면서 보다 사실적인 시각으로 작품을 구성함으로써 현대 무용의 대중화와 단체의 정체성을 견고히 하는 레퍼토리 작품을 만드는데 주력하고 있다.
대표이자 예술감독인 김남진은 1968년 부산출생으로 한국인으로는 처음으로 프랑스 국립현대무용단(C.C.N.R.B, 1998~2002)에 입단하였다.
그 후 현재 현대무용계의 선두주자라고 할 수 있는 벨기에로 진출하여 역시 한국인 최초로 Les ballets C de la B 무용단(2002~2007)에서 활동하였다. 김남진은 현대무용의 산만함을 간결하게 정리하고 추상적 춤의 모호함을 직설적으로 벗겨내어 자기 정체성에 대한 인식에서 춤을 추며 동양적 가치관을 접목시키는 안무자로 평가받는다.
작품소개
작품 < 빛(Light) >은 한 젊은이가 빛을 찾아가는 이야기로 어느 나라에서나 겪는 젊은 세대의 미래에 대한 두려움, 삶에 대한 고민, 인생의 무게 등에 대한 이야기를 한줄기 빛에 은유하여 하늘에 맞닿은 한가닥의 끈에 이어진 우리의 삶을 몸으로 표현한 작품이다.
현대무용과 에어리얼 실크라는 현대서커스의 한 부류가 함께하여 현란한 기술과 함께 무용에서 볼 수 없는 또 다른 신선함을 관객들에게 선사하는 작품이다.

Kim Nam-jin Physical Theater was founded in Busan in 2015.
It focuses on creating repertoire works that popularize modern dance and solidify the group’s identity by breaking away from the abstract image that Korean modern dance has maintained so far and dealing with more realistic and popular themes and composing works with a more realistic perspective.
Kim Nam-jin, the representative and artistic director, was born in Busan in 1968 and was the first Korean to join the French National Company (C.C.N.R.B/Cathrine Diverres., 1998~2002). Afterwards, he moved to Belgium, which can be said to be the leader in the modern dance world, and was also the first Korean to work at Les Ballets C de la B/Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui (2002~2007).
Kim Nam-jin is evaluated as a choreographer who concisely organizes the distraction of modern dance and directly removes the ambiguity of abstract dance, dancing from the awareness of one’s own identity and grafting oriental values. Introduction to the work.

The work < Light > is a story about a young man searching for light. It is a work that metaphorically depicts the fear of the future, worries about life, and the weight of life that young people experience in any country through a ray of light, and expresses our lives connected to a single string reaching the sky with our bodies.
It is a work that combines modern dance and aerial silk, a type of modern circus, to present the audience with dazzling techniques and a freshness that cannot be seen in dance.

단체소개
2011년에 창단한 민간 현대무용 단체이며 현재 대표 박현아와 예술 감독 유호식이 주축 되어 대구에서 활동하고 있다. 디자인의 스페인 어원인 “데시그나레”는 새롭고 독창적인 움직임을 디자인 한다 라는 뜻을 가지고 있다.
안무가 유호식은 현재 일어나고 있는 사회적인 이슈 및 현상들을 근거로 이미지화 하는 작업에 집중하고 있으며 그 것을 토대로 작품들을 생산하고 있다.
아시아권의 현대무용가들과 다양한 협업 및 레지던시, 기획 공연, 축제를 통해 아시아의 문화 예술에 대한 정체성을 찾는 작업들을 하고 있으며, 한국의 컨템포러리 춤을 세계로 알리고 있다.
2012년 데시그나레 무브먼트는 광진 국제 여름 춤 축제를 서울에서 개최를 시작으로 2015년 축제 명칭을 New Dance for Asia (NDA 국제 무용 페스티벌) 로 변경하여 아시아의 컨템포러리 춤을 알리는데 주력하고 있으며 18개국 (한국, 러시아 일본, 중국 싱가포르, 홍콩, 대만, 마카오, 라오스, 미국, 태국, 이탈리아, 스페인, 스위스, 프랑스, 독일, 폴란드) 500여명의 아티스트들이 축제에 참가하였다.
2022년에는 데시그나레 무브먼트는 활동지를 서울에서 대구로 옮겨 현재까지 축제와 다양한 플랫폼들을 진행하고 있다.

Introduction
It is a private contemporary dance organization founded in 2011 and is currently active in Daegu led by CEO Park Hyun-ah and artistic director Yoo Ho-sik. "Designare," the Spanish etymology of design, means designing new and original movements.
Choreographer Yoo Ho-sik is focusing on imaging based on social issues and phenomena that are currently occurring, and he is producing works based on them.
Through various collaborations, residency, planned performances, and festivals with contemporary dancers in Asia, they are working to find their identity in Asian culture and art, and they are promoting Korean contemporary dance to the world.
Starting with the Gwangjin International Summer Dance Festival in Seoul in 2012, the Designare Movement changed its festival name to New Dance for Asia (NDA International Dance Festival) in 2015, focusing on promoting contemporary dances in Asia. More than 500 artists from 18 countries (Korea, Russia, Japan, China, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Macau, Laos, the United States, Thailand, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, France, Germany, and Poland) participated in the festival.
In 2022, Designare Movement has moved its activity site from Seoul to Daegu, where festivals and various platforms have been held so far.
